Used Smith & Wesson 38 S&W Special CTG in fair condition, scuffs and scratches. 4” barrel.I inherited an S & W .38 Special Ctg. from my father. Serial number C 272369 appears on bottom of barrel, back of cylinder, and butt of grip. Also "8124" is stamped in the upper and lower portions of the frame/yoke in front of the cylinder. Recently fired the gun, and it is quite accurate -- in spite of the operator.The marking on the barrel says "38 S&W Special CTG" Some of the crusty rounds that came with the guns say "38 SPL", whilst others say "38 S&W SPL".
