Posts: 8. 2003 4.7l v8 starter replacement. I have a 2003 4.7l 4Runner with approximately 137,000 miles. I bought the vehicle with ~ 80,000 miles. I personally replaced the timing belt, water pump, and extras. However, the starter has been giving me, particularly my wife, some issues. They are in good shape, but the drivers side front fender flare has a scrape/chip on it and a slight bend that should come out. I have all the bolts and I'm pretty sure all the clips.
