It's not too bad but looking to up my towing capabilities. You won't find 4.11's for the Dana30. You are best to go with 4.10's front and rear. If you are running a 5spd with overdrive, consider going 4.56's front and rear. Your driveability won't suffer much at the high end but you will love the response at the lower speeds.Jun 28, 2007 · The formula for speed is: mph = rpm x tire diameter / gear ratio / 336. so 5000 rpm x 25.3 / 4.11 / 336 = 91.6 mph. 5500 rpm would equal 100.7 mph. 6000 rpm would equal 109.9 mph. Those speeds assume 0% torque converter slippage. Actual speed will be slightly less depending on the torque converter.Your 5th gear will prevent most of that. To switch a full time 4x4 transmission to 4.11 or 4.44 gears, you have to loose the center diff lock and switch to an EJ style transfer housing and center diff. Just switching to a part time 4x4 transmission should help a lot because you'll jump from 3.7 to 3.9 final drive.If it had 195 AFR's or the 200 Iron eagle platinums, I'd say faster with 3.73's as mid torque range would be much better and it would come out of the hole great.
