Axle gasket leak
That seemed fine. About two days after the left axle seal started to leak. It did not leak a drop before this. I took care when I replaced the axle shaft also. I have a Hayes repair manual and it says the left axle seal is not for home repair. It says you need a special to take out a bearing and need a press to install the new seal.It was my axle seal. Both bearings were OK, as well as axle vent tube. Big lesson learned during this process. NO ONE in my town sells a 2 & 9/16 axle nut socket or regular socket for that matter. Not even farm equipment stores. Tools used instead, screw driver, 3lb hammer, and vice grips opened as far as they would go. :redneck:
