The best thing about traits isn't the starting levels, but the permanent xp gains. It's nice to get ones that boost xp gains in skills that are hard to upgrade, or important to level early. Fast learner is nice for this as well. Strength is extremely important for combat and extra looting, so I try to take Strong or Stout.Good stuff if you don't have a specific build. Wakeful. Sleep less, be active longer. Just being drowsy cuts your damage in half so it's a very good trait. Bad positive traits: Inconspicuous. Doesn't work the way you think.
