The CanBus sends signal back to the head unit to notify the HU the system is ready. And, as noted above, all the sound profiling and processing is done in the amp.Amplifier bypass harness. The amplifier preparation will follow as above. The 9-wire with the 2 large connectors will route to the factory amplifier which is located under the steering column on the left side. You will remove the 2 plugs at the bottom of the factory amplifier and connect into the female connectors on the 9-wire.Try that first. It should resolve the problem. If you do decide at some point to bypass the amp, we will cross that bridge when we get there. I've got a similar setup, though mine is AirPlay to a processor that bypasses the OEM H/U. My only hestitation is the lack of true volume control.
