There are a variety of reasons as to why it’s widely considered to be overpowered, and its attributes are unlikely to be nerfed (lessened via an in-game patch) any time soon.IMO the self damage is way too annoying to be worth it for around 30 extra AR in pve. If you go for a build that can use buffs the chaos blade is also just straight worse in terms of damage. I would go +15 Uchi for PvE. Uchi is better for pve cb is better for pvp. At 60dex the Chaos is better, and at 70dex the black blade is 1AR higher. Still, the only occasion you're going to be using the katana (ideally) is for chasedowns, since they have naturally low AR and a moveset horribly geared for defense.
