Their average SAT is a 1430 and mine's a 1570. If I apply ED (I'm fine being bound to go there), the acceptance rate is about 25%. ORIE is a very "hard" discipline (as opposed to a soft discipline such as social sciences). It's very focused on optimization, stochastic processes, math, and theorems. Systems is a much softer discipline. It's also much harder to explain because it's so broad.
