I painted my frame and suspension/chassis with POR-15 about 4 years ago and it looks as good now as it did the day it was painted. In areas that are highly visible, like the the frame and crossmember in the engine compartment, trailing arms, and control arms, I sprayed some of Eastwoods Chassis Black on teh POR-15 while it was still tacky.Cooking Performance. If you want originality use Seymour EN-48. It should produce a finish similar to POR 15 and also hardens in the can if not protected from moisture. I had my frame shipped bare and painted it with POR 15. I did the prep work as directed and it was a lot of work.

We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us.It really only works well on rusty metal. POR15 is a piss poor primer, I wouldn't use it even if you can't get all the rust. Get some 3-m Rust Mort, or even a product like Zero Rust. The Zero Rust works like POR15, in that you can (and should) use it directly over surface rust, but it has a low gloss finish, so it works great as a primer.
The POR15 is obviously some really tough stuff, but it seems to require a lot of prep, and I heard there's some adhesion issues on clean surfaces and previously coated surfaces. The Eastwood stuff on the other hand requires almost no prep work, all it needs is loose debris and grease cleaned off.rust bullet VS. eastwood rust encapsulator VS. POR15.
