Jun 20, 2006 · One can go about it two ways. 1. a) Take the fan and shroud out of the way in order to gain access to the pump. b) Remove the PSP pulley nut with a 17mm and take the pulley off. In most cases, the pulley might be rusted on to the PSP shaft. It's best if you use some PB blaster and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes.The front of the box is up against the radiator support which is moved foward 3/4". Last edited: Feb 28, 2009. Brought back from the grave (traded a shotgun for it, if that tells you anything).-King steering damper.-Slee HDP 4" rear coils.-All new bushings in rear upper control arms and front radius arms, 3* OME bushings in the radius arms iirc.-FJ80 steering box.-FJ80 brake master & booster, good condition.-P/S hard lines.-pretty sure I have all the FJ80 shifter stuff.-front & rear drivelines, front is freshly rebuilt and balanced.

Anyway the improvements moved to the ragged out original FJ60 steering box. After researching, I figured I'd take the leap and upgrade the box to the beefier FJ80 steering gear box. This is a heavier duty box and it improved the steering feel and overall responsiveness of my rig.
