You don't get a full ride, but as far as I remember, the president's endowed scholarship and NMF award are automatic for finalists, so you get most of the tuition. You just have to write some thank you notes to your donor (almost lost it for this, don't forget), keep a 3.5 gpa, and graduate in 4 years. No pressure lol.(sure I could apply to like 6 national merit schools, but I couldn't stomach the hundreds in application fees when I already know more or less how much $$$ I would get from those schools.) I totally agree that If I get a good merit scholarship to a school other than one of the NMS schools, I would probably be more inclined to attend there.
