Reason for change was HK ran out of the hard cases. Also consider the soft cases can be used for multiple firearms (SP5, SP5K, SP5K-PDW) vs just one or the other. If you're using the SP5K-PDW (which you should), the soft case is better for the range.

When I first read the title of this post I thought you were talking about stock options For the MP5K/AP5K. Like they cost so much you could trade on Wall Street. Very confusing. Glad to see it was about stock options not stock options.For less than the price of an SP5 you could realistically get a lower receiver, and three different uppers all different caliber and length. Your gonna end up buying both though anyway. Start with a cheap or even mid-tier AR. You could also consider the MPX instead of the SP5. You could do both an MPX AND a nice AR15 for the price of an SP5.

From what I've read, it would work if you have an SEF grip frame modified to fit the SP5K as well as a modified carrier to be used in full auto.
