Limited slip will send more power to the wheel not spinning (slipping) but not all of the power, good for almost all offroading and is always on so to speak. The locking diff. has to be disengaged on the street so you have a open diff. Like. Splicer.

The Z71 G80 IS a Limited Slip Differential, using a clutch pack. It only becomes a locker with the difference in wheel spin. IMO, for most people - especially if you live in snow country - this is exactly what you want.
