If it spins while you are trying to take the nut off of the front and you can't hold it then you are going to have to cut the nut off. Then to get the control arm out you will have to drive the bolt to the rear of the car.When out of the car, I can put one of the lower control arm bolts through the lower control arm bushing and there is clearly slop/play. The 12mm bolt can be rattled around inside the steel sleeve of the bushing.
