If you do not stick to the original tread, something like 255/100 R 16 (Michelin, very expensive) or 265/85R16 or 285/85 R 16 or 285/80 R16 is usable or a 34 inch tire which is useable for 16 inch rims of 6.5 inches width, however should not be wider than 10 inches to the max. Remember, the tube is needed.I originally wanted a M416 or CDNM101 but those are like mythical creators now days and I just can't see paying upwards of 8 or 9 thousand dollars for the trailer build by the various companies out there. I just recently purchased a M101/M116A2 and I installed the AT trailers receiver tube adapter where the surge brake was.
