01-23-2008, 09:57 AM. First of all, the t-bolt can't handle tig welding. The transformer is much too small to handle the "DC component" that's absorbed by the transformer during welding AC Aluminum. There is a reason that a 250 tig welder has huge transformer and a STICK ONLY machine does not.I seen a Miller Thunderbolt, model #902775, for $299.00 with manual.
