Whether or not ride height is a problem I'm not sure (when compared to old springs that might have sagged, for example). But KYBs would be stiff too. Monroe QuickStruts (not their cheap Roadmatic line) would be softer and more compliant.

The B4 rear shocks are the same part number between the two, only the fronts were different.So the set of 4 quick struts ends up being about $300. The premium quick struts like Monroe, KYB, and Gabriel are good for at least 50k. The cheap ones like Unity and those other economy struts rarely make it past 10k. If you absolutely cannot afford the premium quick struts, even with the rebates, at least get the Monroe's Roadmatic quick struts.

I was going to recommend KYB quick struts up front and KYB Gas-A-Just rear shocks, but Rock Auto doesn't seem to have the Gas-A-Just now. So, from what Rock Auto has now, get the Mando quick struts and the GM OE rear shocks. I think the only drawback with the Mando is that it just has a 2 year warranty.
