I used Krylon or Rustoleum black wrinkle. Cleaned it really well, primed and sprayed. Piece of cake. For a really cool look, lay a file down flat over the lettering, and file the paint off, then keep going until the tops of the letters are all flat and even, instead of slightly rounded over from the casting.William, I painted my valve cover from an enamel rattle can (can't remember the brand) and it was just listed as Silver.
