It just made sense to me: A smaller, slimmer, easier-to-carry rendition of a mid-size service pistol that doesn't compromise on performance. At least that's the light in which I've always seen it. Nowadays, I think it kinda gets misunderstood.It is only slightly smaller than the P225/P6, however, I prefer to carry it. The P225 is a great shooter, but for some odd reason, I prefer the P239 for EDC. If you absolutely want to get another SIG, then by all means get the P239. But if you are compelled to just carry the P6, then save your money for something else.The thing is, I think the P239 is the one Sig pistol where the SAS treatment isn't nearly as dramatic nor important as other pistols. While I much prefer the trigger on the 1911 and the flatter profile I never carry it due to reliability problems (approximately 3% rate of failure to feed malfunctions- even after new mags, springs,extractor and tuning, etc.).I did notice that when I was looking at getting these barrels, that Sig site indicate the barrels would be 4.1" (for threaded P239) and these are noted as being 4.3" on the Sig package. Does that tell the story? Why would they make different p239 - 9mm barrels with two different type threads? Thanks again
