I used a product called Transtint. It’s one of my favorite dye products. I’ve used a Keda Wood Dye product in the past but the Transtint is still my favorite. For this project, I mixed about 15 drops of wood dye in with about one cup of polyurethane.

Wasn't sure if the water absorbed into the wood would take hours or days to fully dry enough to be safe to put an oil based finish over it. I'll just go with a few hours to be safe.
