The Front Floor mats the Weathertech mat would only go about half way up that little area, where the Husky covered the entire area. So the upper half of the carpet would get nasty with the weathertech, but the Husky covers the entire area keeping it all clean. Husky in that case was a better design. My next set will be Husky.I purchased Weathertech mats, front and rear, for my 2004 XT and consider them to be one of the best mods I have made. I live in the foothills and do a lot of skiing. With the Subaru mats, melted snow actually rusted the metal on the bottom of my seats. After I installed the Weathertechs, no problemo. I had WeatherTech before that and it's a hard plastic suitable for a beater work pickup truck or van. I haven't had Tuxmat long enough to vouch for durability.

The Husky liners offer the greatest protection and cover more area than the Weathertechs at the top of the mat.
