WRX flywheels are NOT resurfaceable per the manufacturer. A flywheel is a precision machined component, and ready to install when purchased.But I resurfaced my flywheel myself just hit around it with some 80/100 grit paper. My flywheel only had a couple very light smooth marks though. To fix it we pulled the tranny back a little, spin the engine and took off all the clutch bolts bc there was a tiny gap.
