Give it a good cleaning and then give it another try in a safe, controlled environment. If you work on Jeeps, you should have no problem field stripping the rifle. I removed the pin connecting the two halves. back together just to make sure I knew the steps. pin being stubborn and requiring some force.If you have one of the newer M60 with the plastic trigger guards. Get one of the Rimfire Technologies trigger guards and do the trigger mod. listed at R/C. What a huge difference it makes in the trigger pull. It made a big difference in mine.
